Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Soft limits of gluon amplitudes in holography and cosmology

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In this work, we extend the study of soft limits to (Anti) de Sitter spaces, investigating the analytic structure of holographic gluon correlators as part of a broader effort to reveal new symmetries and fundamental structures in gauge theories.

Behavior of pressure and viscosity at high densities for two-dimensional hard and soft granular materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The pressure and the viscosity in two-dimensional sheared granular assemblies are investigated numerically. The behavior of both pressure and viscosity is smoothly changing qualitatively when starting from a mono-disperse hard-disk system without ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Three-loop form factors for Higgs boson pair production in the large top mass limit

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We consider the virtual corrections to Higgs boson pair production at next-to- next-to-leading order, in the large top quark mass limit. We compute five expansion terms for the box-type form factors and eight expansion terms for the triangle form factor,

DDF operators, open string coherent states and their scattering amplitudes

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
We study interactions of string coherent states in the DDF (after Di Vecchia, Del Giudice, Fubini) formalism. For simplicity we focus on open bosonic strings.

Reply to "Comment on `Jamming at zero temperature and zero applied stress: The epitome of disorder' "

open access: yes, 2005
We answer the questions raised by Donev, Torquato, Stillinger, and Connelly in their "Comment on "Jamming at zero temperature and zero applied stress: The epitome of disorder.' " We emphasize that we follow a fundamentally different approach than they ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Supersymmetry breaking and weakly vs. strongly coupled string theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
In the context of the field theory limit of superstrings, we consider an almost realistic model of supersymmetry breaking by gaugino condensation which includes, through nonperturbative corrections to the K\"ahler potential, dilaton stabilization at a ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
