Effects of Add‐On Icosapent Ethyl With Standard Treatment on Functional Outcomes and Inflammatory Biomarkers in Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Blinded Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ischemic stroke, a major cause of mortality and long‐term disability, results from the abrupt cessation of cerebral blood flow due to vascular occlusion or rupture. Icosapent Ethyl (EPA‐EE), approved for hypertriglyceridemia, has anti‐inflammatory and antithrombotic properties that may lessen ischemic damage.

Effects of Causal Beliefs About Gout on Public Views About Gout Management: A Randomized Experimental Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Despite well‐described biologic causes, the public views unhealthy lifestyle choices as the primary cause of gout. This study investigated how causal beliefs about gout influence the public's views about its management. Methods In a randomized study, 201 members of the public viewed one of two 2‐minute videos about gout.

Compact and locally compact spaces via the class of soft δ-open sets

open access: yesFuzzy Information and Engineering
One popular approach to studying topological concepts is to employ a subclass of topology, such as clopen, regular open, and δ-open sets. Motivated by the advantages of soft topology over classical topologies, we investigate some of these classes in a ...

Pain and Patient‐Reported Physical Function Did Not Differ Among Body Composition Profiles in Patients With Hip Osteoarthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective To explore whether higher body fat and lower lean mass are associated with greater pain and worse patient‐reported physical function in individuals with hip osteoarthritis (OA). A secondary aim was to examine whether pain and patient‐reported physical function differ according to four body composition profiles: high body fat, low lean mass ...

CHARACTERIZATION OF b-OPEN SOFT SETS IN SOFT TOPOLOGICAL SPACES

open access: yesJournal of New Theory, 2015
− In this paper, a new class of open soft sets in a soft topological space, called b-open softsets, is introduced and studied. Moreover, the relations this class and these different types of subsetsof soft topological spaces, which introduced in [9], is ...

On Soft β-Open Sets and Soft β-Continuous Functions

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
We introduce the concepts soft β-interior and soft β-closure of a soft set in soft topological spaces. We also study soft β-continuous functions and discuss their relations with soft continuous and other weaker forms of soft continuous functions.

Obesity Subtypes and Longitudinal Trajectories of Function Over Seven Years of Follow‐Up: Data From the Multicenter Osteoarthritis Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Obesity, defined by body mass index (BMI) ≥30 kg/m2, is a risk factor for functional limitations in people with knee osteoarthritis (OA). However, function varies among such individuals. Our objective was to evaluate the implications of obesity subtypes on longitudinal patterns of physical functioning in people with or at risk for knee OA ...

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE INDEPENDENT TOPOLOGICAL STRUCTURE GENERATED BY FUZZY SOFT \(\gamma\)-OPEN SETS

open access: yesUral Mathematical Journal
In this study, we propose a new generalized fuzzy soft open set, namely the fuzzy soft \(\gamma\)-open set. Notably, the newly defined fuzzy soft \(\gamma\)-open set is a special type of fuzzy soft-pre-open set. Additionally, a diagram (Fig.

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

FUZZY SOFT CONNECTEDNESS BASED ON FUZZY b-OPEN SOFT SETS

open access: yesJournal of New Theory, 2016
As a continuation of study fuzzy soft topological spaces, we are going to introduceand investigate fuzzy soft b-connected sets, fuzzy soft b-separated sets and fuzzy soft b s-connectedsets and have established several interesting properties supported by ...
