Interactive haptic display based on soft actuator and soft sensor
2017 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), 2017This paper demonstrates a new haptic display based on soft actuator and soft sensor. The device consists of an array rigid coupling actuator and an array tactile sensor which configured sensor located on the top of actuator. The actuator includes a frame with rigid coupling made by silicone and a dielectric elastomer actuator(DEA).

Embedded Soft Processor for Sensor Networks
2009 International Conference on Network-Based Information Systems, 2009The introduction of smarter and smaller application specific processors has opened doors to the world of intelligent sensor networks. This has led sensors to have their own onboard processing and communication units. These technological advancements have transcended sensors from performing trivial sensing functions to performing more complex operations

ConTact Sensors: A Tactile Sensor Readily Integrable into Soft Robots
2019 2nd IEEE International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft), 2019In this paper, we propose a soft robotics sensor that uses multiple modalities of sensing, fluid pressure and electrical resistance, of a single conductive fluid medium. Each modality responds differently to the same stimulus, allowing richer sensing than two distinct sensors would provide.

A Low-Cost Soft Coiled Sensor for Soft Robots
Volume 2: Mechatronics; Mechatronics and Controls in Advanced Manufacturing; Modeling and Control of Automotive Systems and Combustion Engines; Modeling and Validation; Motion and Vibration Control Applications; Multi-Agent and Networked Systems; Path Planning and Motion Control; Robot Manipulators; Sensors and Actuators; Tracking Control Systems; Uncertain Systems and Robustness; Unmanned, Ground and Surface Robotics; Vehicle Dynamic Controls; Vehicle Dynamics and Traffic Control, 2016Soft robots made from soft materials can closely emulate biological system using simple soft mechanical structures. Compared with traditional rigid-link robots, they are safe to work with humans and can adapt to confined environments. As a result, they are widely used for various robotic locomotions and manipulations.
