Protein Structural Features in Winter Wheat: Benchmarking Diversity in Ontario Hard and Soft Winter Wheat

Cereal Chemistry, 2017
A set of 32 winter wheat lines and varieties was selected to benchmark Ontario winter wheat as a first step toward improving quality. Protein secondary structure, total and accessible thiols, rheological properties, gluten aggregation kinetics, and network forming capabilities of different polymers were determined for each wheat line.

Soft Winter Wheat Cultivar Response to Propiconazole and Ethephon

Journal of Production Agriculture, 1989
Components of intensive cereal management (ICM) systems such as high N fertility and close plant spacing can produce a dense plant canopy favorable to foliar diseases and lodging in soft winter wheat (Triticum aestlvum L.). Genetic disease resistance is often incomplete and a fungicide such as propiconazole (1‐{[2‐(2,4‐dichlorophenyl)‐4‐propyl‐1,3 ...

Registration of ‘Pritchett’ Soft White Winter Club Wheat

Journal of Plant Registrations, 2017
Soft white club wheat (Triticum aestivum ssp. compactum) is a unique component of wheat production in the Pacific Northwest, comprising 10 to 12% of the wheat crop. It is valued for milling and baking functionality and marketed for export in a 10 to 30% blend with soft white wheat known as western white.

Registration of ‘Pembroke 2014’ Soft Red Winter Wheat

Journal of Plant Registrations, 2015
The Kentucky wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) crop is always at risk for Fusarium head blight (FHB) because of the prevalent grain crop rotation used by farmers. Corn (Zea mays L.) is followed by wheat, which is followed by double‐crop soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.].
