Software Pipelining Irregular Loops On the TMS320C6000 VLIW DSP Architecture
ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 2001The TMS320C6000 architecture is a leading family of Digital Signal Processors (DSPs). To achieve peak performance, this VLIW architecture relies heavily on software pipelining. Traditionally, software pipelining has been restricted toregular(FOR) loops.

Real Time Software-in-the-Loop Simulation for Control Performance Validation
SIMULATION, 2008This paper illustrates an effective real-time software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulation technique for control design performance validation through two case studies in automotive systems: electric power steering (EPS) control and drive control for a switch reluctance motor (SRM) powered by a fuel cell.

Software-in-the-loop development and validation of a Cornering Brake Control logic
Vehicle System Dynamics, 2007In this article, a logic for vehicle dynamics control during partial braking while turning a corner is presented, which only requires knowledge of the instantaneous speed of the four wheels. For this reason, the proposed control algorithm can be adopted on all ABS equipped cars.

Simulation of AADL models with software-in-the-loop execution
ACM SIGAda Ada Letters, 2017In this paper we consider a problem of simulation of avionics models with heterogeneously specified behaviours of components. In particular, we consider a situation when some software components of a model are specified by a program code of ARINC653 partitions but the rest of a model is defined in a very abstract way.

Path-following Algorithms Comparison using Software-in-the-Loop Simulations for UAVs
Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems, 2019Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are aircraft that can be autonomously operated and doesn’t need a pilot aboard. Consequently, the autopilot is one of the main parts of an UAV, being responsible for stabilising the aircraft during the flight, executing navigation tasks and sensing the environment.

Hardware and Software-in-the-Loop Simulation of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
2009Simulation has reached great goals in parallel with the evolution of computers and calculation resources. Thus, in the last decade, it has become a fundamental tool in the field of complex dynamic systems modeling and control. The employment of UAVs, thanks to the better reliability and costs reduction, is recently arousing great interest both in ...

Mathematical Modeling for Software-in-the-Loop Prototyping of Automated Manufacturing Systems
2014Nowadays automated manufacturing systems are designed as the complex interconnection of components belonging to different engineering domains. Actually high performances are required in order to satisfy market needs and standards. In this framework the validation via simulation plays a crucial role as it allows to verify the system during the design ...
