Exploring the relationship between UML design metrics for Web applications and maintainability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Measures of software maintainability can be taken either late or early in the development process. Late measurements of software maintainability can be used for assessing the software system, and planning for future enhancements. On the other hand, early

Maintainability Predictors For Relational Database-Driven Software Applications: Extended Results From A Survey

open access: yes, 2013
Software maintainability is a very important quality attribute. Its prediction for relational database-driven software applications can help organizations improve the maintainability of these applications.

Data criticality estimation in software applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In safety-critical applications it is often possible to exploit software techniques to increase system's fault- tolerance. Common approaches are based on data redundancy to prevent data corruption during the software execution.

A cost model based on software maintainability [PDF]

open access: yes2012 28th IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance (ICSM), 2012
In this paper we present a maintainability based model for estimating the costs of developing source code in its evolution phase. Our model adopts the concept of entropy in thermodynamics, which is used to measure the disorder of a system. In our model, we use maintainability for measuring disorder (i.e. entropy) of the source code of a software system.

Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.

Towards a set of metrics for hybrid (quantum/classical) systems maintainability [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Universal Computer Science
Given the rapid evolution that has taken place in recent years in the software industry, and along with it the emergence of quantum software, there is a need to design an environment for measuring quality metrics for hybrid, classic-quantum software.&

Implementation of Structured Object-Oriented Formal Language for Warehouse Management System

open access: yesCommIT Journal, 2020
Designing process is inseparable from software development. Like other software development processes, designing process faces many problems, such as improper and ambiguous specifications.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...
