A STUDY OF QUALITY IN THE PROCESS OF SOFTWARE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ACCORDING TO MAINTAINABILITY AND REUSABILITY [PDF]

open access: yes
Our research indicates the modality by which algorithm modifications imply intervention in modules where expressions are evaluated or selections of elements are performed, the conclusion being the fact that in order to design robust software, a clear ...

Static Code Analysis for Identification and Prioritization of Code Quality Remediation in a Resource-Constrained University Academic Information System

open access: yesTeknika
Software quality directly impacts organizational effectiveness, yet university information systems in developing nations frequently face compounded challenges, including resource constraints, limited developer expertise, and inadequate quality assurance

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Assessing the maintainability of software product line feature models using structural metrics

open access: yes, 2011
A software product line is a unified representation of a set of conceptually similar software systems that share many common features and satisfy the requirements of a particular domain.

Effects of Layered Architecture & UI Design upon Maintainability & Usability: An Implementation Case Study of 3D Electronic Communication Surveillance Analytic

open access: yesPakistan Journal of Engineering & Technology
Software Architecture provides views and structure of the system at a high-level of abstraction. The selection of software architecture and user interface design has a great influence upon the quality of software. Our research is going in two directions;

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Auditing and Maintaining Provenance in Software Packages [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Science projects are increasingly investing in computational reproducibility. Constructing software pipelines to demonstrate reproducibility is also becoming increasingly common. To aid the process of constructing pipelines, science project members often adopt reproducible methods and tools. One such tool is CDE, which is a software packaging tool that

Predicting maintainability with software quality metrics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Software Maintenance: Research and Practice, 1991
AbstractMaintenance of software makes up a large fraction of the time and money spent in the software life‐cycle. By reducing the need for maintenance these costs can also be reduced. Predicting where maintenance is likely to occur can help to reduce maintenance by prevention. In this paper, maintenance is defined as correction of errors in the program.
