Grounding transient response of lightning protection GTIERRAS software

open access: yesRevista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia, 2006
A computer program developed in Matlab (GTIERRAS) from an electromagneticbased model is used to assess grounding impedances and the behavior of grounding electrodes of arbitrary shapes under lightning impulses. Impedance, currents and voltages, or other

A reference architecture for software protection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper describes the ASPIRE reference architecture designed to tackle one major problem in this domain: the lack of a clear process and an open software architecture for the composition and deployment of multiple software protections on software ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Approach to Organizing the Functioning of Smart Elements in the Multi-Agent “Smart House” System [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Production Research, 2020
A research was conducted to form an approach to the design and implementation of a multi-agent control system of smart elements for a “Smart house”. The system was built on the example of three intelligent robots.

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Intellectual Property Right Protection in the Software Market [PDF]

open access: yes
We discuss the software patent should be granted or not. There exist two types of coping in the software market; reverse engineering and software duplication. Software patent can prevent both types of copies since a patent protects an idea.

An Object-Based Approach to Modelling and Analysis of Failure Properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
In protection systems, when traditional technology is replaced by software, the functionality and complexity of the system is likely to increase. The quantitative evidence normally provided for safety certification of traditional systems cannot be relied
