Mechanical Properties of Strongly Weathered Rock–Soil Mixtures with Different Rock Block Contents
International Journal of Geomechanics, 2018AbstractAlthough soil–rock mixtures (S-RMs) exist extensively on Earth’s surface, their mechanical behaviors remain elusive.

Chemo-Mechanical Coupling in Fine-Grained Soils and Sedimentary Rocks
Sixth EAGE Shale Workshop, 2019Fine-grained sedimentary rocks such as shale or mudstone are ubiquitous in sedimentary basins and play important roles as caprocks, host rocks, or source rocks in many energy technologies including carbon capture and storage, nuclear waste storage, and hydrocarbon extraction.

Mechanical properties of semi-rocks soils and methods of their determination
2011In the south-western part of Ukraine Black Sea plateau as a base foundation soils used semi-rock soils presented pontian limestone. In the state standards are no methods for determining their mechanical characteristics needed for the design of foundations and piles.

The remodeling of soil-rock mixtures (S-RM) in open-pit mining slopes is critical for ensuring dump slope stability and promoting efficient resource recovery. This study investigates the modification of S-RM using calcium lignosulphonate (CLS) to enhance its engineering properties. Unconfined compressive strength (UCS), shear strength, and permeability

Some aspects of the mechanical behaviour of "structured" soils and soft rocks .
1993Soft rocks and many soils all over the world are "structured" due to presence of weak bonds between individual particles. In this paper some examples re-garding the role of bonding on both deformability and strength are reported. Considering the common aspects which associate these materials, an unified framework is proposed.
