New Insights into Atonic Postpartum Hemorrhage: Animal Model Construction Based on Placental Nanodelivery Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a placenta‐targeted nanodelivery system co‐loading HMGB1 protein and the NLRP3 agonist nigericin to establish an animal model of atonic postpartum hemorrhage. The model accurately recapitulates clinical phenotypes, including prolonged labor and uterine contractility dysfunction, while revealing inflammatory activation in placental ...

Soil organic matter and related soil properties in forest, grassland and cultivated land use types. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The pattern of soil organic carbon storage is influenced by land use and landscape topo-sequence. The variations in soil carbon and land use also impact soil properties, such as bulk density, pH and soil water.

Evaluation of the Dual Impact of Nanotechnologies on Health and Environment Through Alternative Bridging Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores how alternative invertebrate and small‐vertebrate models advance the evaluation of nanomaterials across medicine and environmental science. By bridging cellular and organismal levels, these models enable integrated assessment of toxicity, biodistribution, and therapeutic performance.

Global Soil Organic Carbon Estimates and the Harmonized World Soil Database [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Global estimates of soil organic carbon stocks have been produced in the past to support the calculation of potential emissions of CO2 from the soil under scenarios of change land use/cover and climatic conditions (IPCC, 2006), but very few global ...

Regression Models for Predicting Bulk Density From Measured Soil Properties

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry, 1996
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships between bulk density and some soil properties, and to develop regression model to estimate bulk density. In this study, generally fine textured 79 soil samples collected from the Erzurum and Daphan Plain were used.

Colloidal Heterostructures Enable Interfacial Transport of Immiscible Molecules in Printable Organohydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Multiphase printable organohydrogels with tunable microstructures are developed to control molecular transport pathways for immiscible cargo. The tortuosity and domain size of the colloidal phases are tuned by adjusting temperature and shear during processing, which enables the tailoring of diffusion kinetics due to different transport pathways.
