Sulfite oxidase enzyme activity in soil
Biology and Fertility of Soils, 2011Several methods for measuring sulfite oxidases (EC 1.8.2.1 and EC 1.8.3.1) have been developed for microbial systems, but none have been systematically adopted for soils. We describe an assay method to measure sulfite oxidase in soil that is based on the use of potassium sulfite (K2SO3) serving as the substrate and electron donor, and potassium ...

Influence of Salinity on Soil Enzyme Activities
Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1982Abstract Efforts were made to assess the levels of soil enzyme activities that have a specific role in the N, C, P, and S cycles of saline soils. Fieldmoist soil samples were treated with four rates of CaCl 2 , NaCl, and Na 2 SO

Influence of chlorothalonil on soil enzyme activity
2011 International Conference on Electric Technology and Civil Engineering (ICETCE), 2011In this paper, we studied the influence of different concentrations of chlorothalonil which was commonly used in North China, on the activities of soil invertase, catalase and urease. The results showed that the influence trend of chlorothalonil at different doses on soil enzyme activity was almost the same.

The Effect of Roxarsone on Soil Enzyme Activities
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012An indoor simulation experiment has been carried out to study the effects of Roxarsone on the soil neutral phosphatase, catalase and urease activity. The result showed that the enzyme activities were reduced by the Roxarsone, and the effect degree was aggravated with the increasing consistency.

Effect of waterlogging on enzyme activities in soils
Soil Biology and Biochemistry, 1988Abstract The activities of eight enzymes involved in C, N, P and S cycling were assayed in soils before and after waterlogging for times ranging from 0 to 10 days at room temperature (22°C). After waterlogging. Eh and pH were measured and the enzyme activities assayed at optimum pH values at 37°C.

GENES CODIFYING ENZYMES AND ENZYME ACTIVITIES IN SOIL
2011The discussion of links between genes codifying enzymes and enzyme activities of soil involves two different philosophical approaches since the classical soil enzymology is based on the holistic approach whereas the molecular approach is based on a detailed knowledge of enzymes involved in the measured enzyme activity.

Enzyme activities in a limed agricultural soil
Biology and Fertility of Soils, 2000This study assessed the effect of eight lime application rates, with four field replications, on the activities of 14 enzymes involved in C, N, P, and S cycling in soils. The enzymes were assayed at their optimal pH values. The soil used was a Kenyon loam located at the Northeast Research Center in Nashua, Iowa.
