Organic Amendments Enhance Peanut Nodulation by Influencing Interactions Between Rhizobia and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi in the Peanut Rhizosphere

open access: yesAgronomy
The primary mechanism through which organic amendments enhance the nodulation ability of leguminous crops involves increasing the content of available phosphorus (AP) in the soil.

Heteroatom‐Engineering Promoted Co9S8 Bi‐functional Electrocatalyst for Hydrazine‐Assisted Hydrogen Production at Industrial Current Density

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe and P co‐doped Co9S8 nanocorals (Fe, P‐Co9S8) are successfully synthesized by a heteroatom engineering strategy, which exhibit outstanding bifunctional electrocatalytic performance for both the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and hydrazine oxidation reaction (HzOR).

Water and soil salinity management and Sslt redistribution in irrigation systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Soil salinity is present in most of the large irrigation schemes over the world under the conjunctive effect of low quality irrigation water, aridity and lack of natural drainage ofsoils and aquifers.

Mimicking Block Copolymer Self‐Assembly with One‐Pot Synthesized Polyphosphoester Gradient Copolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Degradable Polyphosphoester (PPE) gradient copolymers (GCPs) are synthesized via one‐pot copolymerization. We show that GCPs self‐assemble into nanostructures like polymersomes, effectively mimicking the behavior of traditional BCPs. The gradient strength is key, with softer gradients favoring micelles.

Superior simultaneous immobilization of cadmium and arsenic by ferrihydrite-modified biochar: performance and mechanisms

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science
The contrasting geochemical behaviors of cationic cadmium (Cd) and anionic arsenic (As) in co-contaminated soil pose a significant challenges for their simultaneous immobilization.

Chinese Milk Vetch Improves Plant Growth, Development and 15N Recovery in the Rice-Based Rotation System of South China

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Chinese milk vetch (CMV) is vital for agriculture and environment in China. A pot experiment combined with 15N labeling (including three treatments: control, no fertilizer N and CMV; 15N-labeled urea alone, 15NU; substituting partial 15NU with CMV, 15NU ...

Sustainable Catalyst‐Free PLG Networks: Recyclability, Biodegradability, and Functional Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A catalyst‐additive free covalent adaptable network is developed from star‐shaped poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide) cross‐linked with pyromellitic dianhydride, enabling internal carboxylic acid‐driven transesterification. The resulting biodegradable network exhibits mechanical robustness (Young's modulus ≈1.6 GPa), complete recyclability, rapid biodegradation
