The Relationship Between the Distribution of Water and Salt Elements in Arid Irrigation Areas and Soil Salination Evolution

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
Long periods of surface water irrigation and water and salt movement have slow and continuous influence on the evolution of soil salinization in a closed hydrogeological unit of arid irrigation areas.

Ions Transport in Seasonal Frozen Farmland Soil and Its Effect on Soil Salinization Chemical Properties

open access: yesAgronomy, 2023
The salinization of farmland soil is exacerbated during the freeze–thaw (FT) process, endangering agricultural production. The change of soil salt ions results in the formation and development of soil salinization.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Conformable Ferrimagnetic Tattoo Electrodes for Plant Electrophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The newly developed ferrimagnetic tattoo electrode is capable of measuring plant electrophysiological activity outside the Faraday cage. Its ability to adhere without damaging the plant tissue allows long‐term recordings. This premise opens new avenues for in‐field monitoring of plant health through electrophysiology.
