The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Silica Sol-Gel Entrapment of the Enzyme Chloroperoxidase
The enzyme chloroperoxidase (CPO) was immobilized in silica sol-gel beads prepared from tetramethoxysilane. The average pore diameter of the silica host structure (~3 nm) was smaller than the globular CPO diameter (~6 nm) and the enzyme remained ...

Sulfur dioxide removal by sol-gel sorbent derived CuO/Alumina sorbents in fixed bed adsorber
Nanostructured alumina supported copper oxide granular sorbents were prepared by the sol-gel method. The properties of the sol-gel derived sorbents were compared with a similar commercial sorbent which has been used in the pilot scale moving-bed copper ...

A suspension of metal‐organic nanosheets was centrifuged to form self‐healing gels with a hierarchically porous structure. The prepared gels were used to selectively capture small molecules from solutions and differentially release them based on their size and charge. Abstract Metal‐organic nanosheets (MONs) are intrinsically porous 2D materials with a

Optimizing (1‐x) BiFeO3‐xCaTiO3 Perovskites: A Pathway to Efficient Flexible Energy Storage
Perovskite materials, like BFO CTO, are popular due to their high conductivity, low cost, and wide availability. In this work a symmetric electrochemical cell based on BFO‐CTO shows a charge of 3.356 C.cm⁻2, giving a specific capacitance of 2.79 mF.cm⁻2 at 1 mV.s⁻2.
