We present the results of a statistical data analysis of the geo-effectiveness of non-magnetic-cloud interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs) and compare them with those of magnetic-cloud (MC) interplanetary coronal mass ejections observed during ...

MHD Forecasting of Solar Wind With Coronal Mass Ejections
We present a model, implemented as an online service, for predicting the speed and density of solar wind in the inner heliosphere and near Earth. The model is based on a numerical magnetohydrodynamics code PLUTO.

Characteristics of coronal mass ejections in the near Sun interplanetary space [PDF]
Based on the observations from the Large Angle and Spectrometric Coronagraph (LASCO) on board the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) spacecraft we studied coronal mass ejections (CME) parameters between 6 and 10 solar radii from the Sun.

Periodicities in the occurrence of solar coronal mass ejections
The Fourier analysis of the CME occurrence data observed by the SOHO satellite shows significant power around 1.9 yr., 1.2 yr., 265 day, 39 day and 26 day periodicities which are almost similar to the periodicities detected in the Fourier analysis of underlying activities of the photosphere.

Transport in the interplanetary medium of coronal mass ejections [PDF]
Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are large scale structures of plasma and magnetic field expelled from the Sun to the interplanetary medium and generally observed in white light coronagraphs.

Solar Coronal Mass Ejection and Post–Coronal Mass Ejection Blob Formation in Two-fluid Simulations
Abstract A coronal mass ejection (CME) and post-CME blob phenomena in the solar atmosphere, associated with shear flow and convergent flow perturbations in the photosphere, are investigated using a resistive two-fluid (electron–ion) code. It is found that there are notable deviations between the two-fluid and previous magnetohydrodynamic

Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) release between ≈10 ^30 and 10 ^33 erg of energy into the corona; however, their detailed energy budget is difficult to constrain.

Driving Dynamical Inner‐Heliosphere Models With In Situ Solar Wind Observations
Accurately reconstructing the solar wind throughout the inner heliosphere is essential for understanding solar–terrestrial interactions and improving space‐weather forecasts.
