Galactic Substructure and Energetic Neutrinos from the Sun and the Earth [PDF]
We consider the effects of Galactic substructure on energetic neutrinos from annihilation of weakly-interacting massive particles (WIMPs) that have been captured by the Sun and Earth.

Particle acceleration by the sun [PDF]
A review is given of the analysis of new observations of energetic particles and energetic secondary emissions obtained over the solar maxium (approx. 1980) by the Solar Maximum mission, Hinotori, the international Sun-Earth Explorer, Helios, Explorer ...

A metal halide perovskite‐based photoanode integrated with a CoNiFe layered double hydroxide (LDH) cocatalyst is reported for selective glucose oxidation reaction (GOR), achieving simultaneous and unassisted photoelectrochemical hydrogen production. This system delivers high photocurrent density, excellent Faradaic efficiency of GOR, and strong techno ...

Wave–Particle Interaction in the Upstream of Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejection Shocks
Shocks associated with interplanetary coronal mass ejections are known to energize charged particles and give rise to solar energetic particles. Many of these energetic particles move ahead of the shock to create a foreshock region.

This work reports the self‐assembly of a pyrene derivative into two distinct nanostructures and their application in visible‐light photocatalysis. The two nanostructures exhibit completely different yet complementary photocatalytic activities, promoting either H2 or H2O2 evolution.

Particle acceleration in solar flares [PDF]
The most direct signatures of particle acceleration in flares are energetic particles detected in interplanetary space and in the Earth atmosphere, and gamma rays, neutrons, hard X-rays, and radio emissions produced by the energetic particles in the ...

Solar Coronal Abundances of Rare Elements Based on Solar Energetic Particles [PDF]
Although solar energetic particle (SEP) abundances vary from event to event, it has been shown that by accounting for these variations it is possible to use SEP data to obtain reliable estimates of elemental abundances for the solar corona.

The versatile precursor‐assisted soft sphere close packing during slot‐die coating is investigated with in situ X‐ray scattering. The soft crystallization pathways towards a close packing involve multistep structural transitions such as surface nucleation, in‐plane, and out‐of‐plane crystallization.
