Response of Global Ionospheric Currents to Solar Flares with Extreme Ultraviolet Late Phases
It is known that solar flares can affect the current system of the middle- and low-latitude ionosphere. Most earlier studies have focused on such effects during their impulsive phases.

Direct measurements of impulsive extreme ultraviolet and hard X-ray solar flare emission
Direct, simultaneous measurements of the 100--1030 A EUV and 15--150 keV X-ray emission during solar flares having impulse phases are reported. Time histories of the energy fluxes and flux ratios for three flares were obtained from Solrad 11 satellite data.

Propagating and Stationary Bright Knots in the Quiet Solar Corona
Small-sized localized brightenings are an important candidate for resolving the problem of the solar atmospheric heating. They are spread over the whole solar disk and are suggested to be caused by magnetic reconnection or wave dissipation.

Hydrostatic Modeling of the Integrated Soft X‐Ray and Extreme Ultraviolet Emission in Solar Active Regions [PDF]
Many studies of the solar corona have shown that the observed X-ray luminosity is well correlated with the total unsigned magnetic flux. In this paper we present results from the extensive numerical modeling of active regions observed with the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) EUV Imaging Telescope (EIT), the Yohkoh Soft X-Ray Telescope (SXT ...

A Possible Mechanism for the “Late Phase” in Stellar White-light Flares
M dwarf flares observed by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) sometimes exhibit a peak-bump light-curve morphology, characterized by a secondary, gradual peak well after the main, impulsive peak.

Extreme-ultraviolet Polarimetric Diagnostics of the Solar Corona: The Hanle Effect of Ne viii 770 Å
Magnetic fields are the primary driver of the plasma thermodynamics in the upper solar atmosphere, especially in the corona. However, magnetic field measurements in the solar corona are sporadic, thereby limiting us from the complete understanding of ...

Pixel-to-pixel Translation of Solar Extreme-ultraviolet Images for DEMs by Fully Connected Networks
In this study, we suggest a pixel-to-pixel image translation method among similar types of filtergrams such as solar extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) images. For this, we consider a deep-learning model based on a fully connected network in which all pixels of ...
