Hair keratin fibers inevitably deteriorate under UV exposure, heat, and dryness. A robust composite coating assembles delaminated Ti3C2 MXene nanosheets onto keratin surfaces through biocompatible metal‐polyphenol networks of EGCG. This hybrid layer simultaneously screens UV, dissipates heat, reinforces mechanical strength, suppresses static charge ...

Magnetic Fields in the Solar Convection Zone
Active regions on the solar surface are generally thought to originate from a strong toroidal magnetic field generated by a deep seated solar dynamo mechanism operating at the base of the solar convection zone.

Sunspots and active regions observed on the solar surface are widely believed to be manifestations of compact predominantly toroidal magnetic field structures (“flux tubes”) that emerge by magnetic buoyancy from the deeper interior of the Sun.

Advances in Halide Perovskites for Photon Radiation Detectors
This work highlights recent progress in perovskite‐based photon radiation detectors, covering organic–inorganic hybrid, inorganic, lead‐free double, and vacancy‐ordered halide perovskites. Their detection performance is compared, material‐specific advantages and challenges are examined, and provides insight into current limitations and future ...

Rotation of the solar interior
Helioseismology has allowed us to infer the rotation in the greater part of the solar interior with high precision and resolution. The results show interesting conflicts with earlier theoretical expectations, indicating that the the Sun is host to complex dynamical phenomena, so far hardly understood. This has important consequences for our ideas about

Two‐Way Shape Memory Polymer Composite Gripper for Adaptive Robotic Applications
A two‐way shape memory polymer (SMP) composite is developed with intrinsic shape‐changing capability driven solely by temperature, eliminating external actuation loads. Embedding the SMP in a low‐stiffness elastomeric matrix enabled reversible transformations during heating and cooling cycles.

Jupiter’s Interior with an Inverted Helium Gradient
Jupiter’s gravity field observed by NASA’s Juno spacecraft indicates that the density in the 10–100 GPa region is lower than one would expect from a H/He adiabat with 0.5–5× solar water abundance, as has been observationally inferred in Jupiter’s ...

Magnetic probing of the solar interior [PDF]
The magnetic field patterns in the region beneath the solar photosphere is determined. An approximate method for downward extrapolation of line of sight magnetic field measurements taken at the solar photosphere was developed.

Parallel wiring of bioelectrochemical devices with conventional generators unexpectedly boosts output. A biophotovoltaic paired with a solar cell delivers up to 50% more power at low loads than their separate contributions; a plant microbial fuel cell shows similar current gains.
