Exoplanet interiors and habitability
More than 1000 exoplanets with a radius smaller than twice that of the Earth are currently known, mainly thanks to space missions dedicated to the search of exoplanets.

Solar noble gases in the Angrite parent body – Evidence from volcanic volatiles trapped in D'Orbigny glass [PDF]
We compare the noble gases in D'Orbigny glass and bulk. The glass was formed after the bulk silicates and contains interior solar noble gases that may originate from early volcanic activity on the angrite parent body, trapped upon fast ...

Photocatalytic Water Splitting on the Lunar Surface: Prospects for In Situ Resource Utilization
Water has been found in craters on the moon nearby locations which are illuminated >80% of the time. Photocatalysis uses energy from sunlight to drive chemical reactions such as water splitting to produce oxygen and hydrogen. It is a scalable technology that requires lighter equipment and utilizes resources available on the moon. ABSTRACT The discovery

Plasma‐sequence‐engineered ALD (PSE‐ALD), based on sequential NH3 and N2 plasma pulses, enables ultrathin, dense SiNx films. ToF‐MS analysis confirms ligand removal via HCl evolution, while increased film density indicates network densification. The resulting SiNx coating provides robust protection of graphite under H2 plasma exposure.

We have carried out inversions of travel times as measured by Gizon et al. to infer the internal profile of the solar meridional circulation (MC). A linear inverse problem has been solved by the regularized least-squares method with a constraint that the

Coordinated observations in support of the solar maximum mission [PDF]
The in-orbit repair of the Solar Maximum Mission satellite has provided an opportunity to continue observations of the Sun's outer corona, transition region, and bolometric flux through the decay phase and minimum of the solar cycle.

Atomic Layer Deposition of Metallic Molybdenum Dioxide Thin Films Enabling High‐k Rutile Capacitors
The first direct atomic layer deposition (ALD) process of molybdenum dioxide (MoO2) thin films is reported using molybdenum(II) acetate dimer (Mo2(OAc)4) and oxygen (O2) as precursors at 235°C–275°C. The films are crystalline, exceptionally pure, and conductive.

Exploring the Substructure of the Near-surface Shear Layer of the Sun
The gradient of rotation in the near-surface shear layer (NSSL) of the Sun provides valuable insights into the dynamics associated with the solar activity cycle and the dynamo. Results obtained with global oscillation mode splittings lack resolution near
