A rationally engineered bifunctional photocatalyst is reported, which achieves simultaneous selective oxidation of biomass‐derived 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to 2,5‐diformylfuran (DFF) and efficient H2 evolution. By precisely positioning Au and Co3O4 on Zn3In2S6 nanosheet, dual interfacial electric fields are well constructed to spatially separate ...

Magnetic Fields in the Solar Convection Zone
Recent studies of the dynamic evolution of magnetic flux tubes in the solar convection zone are reviewed with focus on emerging flux tubes responsible for the formation of solar active regions. The current prevailing picture is that active regions on the

Preliminary Discussion on the Current Sheet
The current sheet is a characteristic structure of magnetic energy dissipation during the magnetic reconnection process. So far, the width and depth of the current sheet are still indefinite.

This review explores functional and responsive materials for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in sustainable smart agriculture. It examines how particulate contamination and dirt affect charge transfer and efficiency. Environmental challenges and strategies to enhance durability and responsiveness are outlined, including active functional layers ...

We report observations of a steady 20 year decline of solar photospheric fields at latitudes $\geq$45${^{o}}$ starting from $\sim$1995. This prolonged and continuing decline, combined with the fact that Cycle 24 is already past its peak, implies that ...

Dynamical Evolution of Newly Formed Structures After Magnetic Reconnection
Although extensive research on magnetic reconnection, e.g., current sheets, inflows/outflows, and plasma ejections, has been done, the dynamical evolution of newly formed structures during and after the reconnection between two sets of atmospheric ...

Defects Dynamic in Photo‐Excited CeO2 and their Influence on CO2 Photoreduction
X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy study under light excitation is presented to track the defect dynamic (Ce4+ to Ce3+) in CeO2. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy confirmed the key role of Ce3+ states in controlling charge and energy transfer across the CeO2‐dye molecule interface.

The Role of Helicity in Magnetic Reconnection: 3D Numerical Simulations
We demonstrate that conservation of global helicity plays only a minor role in determining the nature and consequences of magnetic reconnection in the solar atmosphere.

Strong EUV line shifts in solar spectra are generally indicative of highly dynamic and explosive events that are easily detected in comparable-wavelength EUV images, with the strongest such line shifts (several 100 km s ^−1 ) occurring in solar flares ...
