Solar Magnetic Fields in Association with Flares [PDF]
The association of Hα flares with photospheric magnetic field patterns is reviewed on the basis of empirical evidence. The insertion of flares in the H∥ and H⊥ patterns is described. Present data on the evolution of magnetic structures in connection with flares suggest that flares result from special trends in this evolution leading to stressed and/or ‘

Submicron Metasurface Reconfigured Multiband Smart Windows
This work presents a submicron metasurface reconfigured multiband thermochromic smart window. By integrating subwavelength nanostructures into a Fabry−Perot resonator configuration, it mitigates conventional trade‐offs to simultaneously deliver high luminous transmittance and robust solar heating and radiative cooling modulation capabilities ...

Nonpotential Magnetic Fields with Emerging Magnetic Flux in a Solar-flare-productive Active Region
Using a developing delta-class solar active region (NOAA 12673) as a case study, we analyzed the distribution of solar vector magnetic fields and derived the corresponding magnetic energy and helicity densities from vector magnetograms to characterize ...

Atomic Layer Deposition Processes: Versatile Platforms for Engineering ZnO‐Chitosan Biointerfaces
Vapour phase metalation (VPM), multiplied pulsed vapour phase infiltration (MPI), and O2 plasma‑enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) tailor Zn–chitosan (Zn‑CS) films. PEALD improves wettability and biocompatibility. MPI enhances semiconductor behavior. Antiseptic selectivity: VPM → E. coli; MPI → H. pylori.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and
