A Body‐Coupled Electronic Skin With Branch‐Enhanced Grid Architecture for Fine Tactile Sensing

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Ambient power‐frequency electric fields, commonly regarded as harmful environmental exposure, are converted into a usable energy source for self‐powered tactile sensing. A branch‐enhanced grid electronic skin based on body‐coupled electric‐field sensing is developed, where branched conductive networks enlarge the effective sensing area and enable ...

Comparative study on the bonding property of laser and reflow soldered Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu/Ni–P microbumps after isothermal aging and multiple reflowing

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Laser soldering has attracted attention in microbumps joining field due to its noncontact and localized heating, a short joining time, fluxless and easy automation. In this study, Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu/Ni–P microbumps were prepared by laser soldering and reflow

Scn1a‐mediated developmental regulation of prefrontal cortex plasticity and cognition

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective The voltage‐gated sodium channel Nav1.1, encoded by Scn1a, is essential for γ‐aminobutyric acid (GABA)ergic function, and its alteration is associated with neurological disorders such as Dravet syndrome and Alzheimer's disease. We previously demonstrated that local Nav1.1 dysfunction in the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) during ...

Prenatal betamethasone–postnatal N‐methyl‐D‐aspartic acid model of spasms: Update on mechanisms and treatments

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Infantile epilepsy spasms syndrome (IESS), formerly known as infantile spasms or West Syndrome, is a severe epilepsy syndrome affecting about 3 in 10,000 newborns in the United States. Characterized by clusters of epileptic spasms, interictal hypsarrhythmia, and developmental delays, IESS has diverse causes, including structural‐metabolic ...

SPONTANEOUS SOLDERING

open access: yes, 1984
It is proposed that the soldering form of general relativity be treated as a dynamical variable. This gives rise to the possibility of treating the linear connection on (n-dimensional) spacetime and an internal O(k)-Yang-Mills field as different ...

A Knowledge‐Augmented Wearable System for Interpretable Plant Health Monitoring

open access: yesFlexTech, EarlyView.
We present K‐Wear, a knowledge‐augmented wearable system for interpretable plant health monitoring. A soft multimodal sensing platform continuously captures spectral, humidity, and temperature signals from plant leaves, which are processed through a knowledge‐guided large language model reasoning framework to generate mechanistic diagnoses and ...

Cu–Cu joint with great strength using In/Sn–58Bi hybrid soldering at low temperature (90 °C)

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
This study investigates Cu single-sided solder joints using hybrid soldering (In + Sn58Bi) at reflow temperatures ranging from 80 to 130 °C. The wetting angles of 27° at 90 °C and 22° at 130 °C demonstrated good wettability.

Artificial structures for human‐machine interfaces with closed‐loop interaction

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Artificial structures bridge sensing and feedback in closed‐loop human‐machine interfaces by providing geometry‐enabled mechanical and functional programmability. This review maps the role of artificial structures in diverse sensing modalities and feedback strategies, and illustrates their integration into closed‐loop interaction systems, highlighting ...

Assessment of Tube–Fin Contact Materials in Heat Exchangers: Guidelines for Simulation and Experiments

open access: yesEnergies
This paper describes experiments on finned tube heat exchangers, focusing on reducing the thermal contact resistance at the contact between the pipe and the lamella. Various contact materials, such as solders and adhesives, were investigated.
