Maize Sole Crop and Intercrop Response to Fertilizer in Mali and Niger

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, 2018
Core Ideas Applying N for maize production in semi‐arid west Africa can be profitable. The profit potential of N application is great for maize–groundnut intercrop.Application of P and K has low and inconsistent profit potential for maize production in semi‐arid west Africa.Nutrient response functions can be determined for maize–groundnut intercrop from

Root interactions on sole crop and intercrop give different effects of competition

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2020
Abstract Root interactions on sole crop and intercrop give different effects of competition. Understanding on root interactions is very challenging due to the methodology limits in root studies especially when we intercrop between tree and crop components.

An Assessment of some Fertilizer Recommendations under Different Cropping Systems in a Humid Tropical Environment [PDF]

open access: yesTropicultura, 2001
Studies were carried out to determine the effects of four fertilizer recommendation systems (bianket recommendation, soil test recommendation, recommendation based on nutrient supplementation index and unfertilized control) on five cropping systems (sole

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
