Measuring Baseline Data for LInear Solenoids Used in Late- Model Automatic Transmissions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Can automatic transmission solenoids be adequately tested using common equipment found in a typical transmission repair facility? Popular solenoids were electronically tested while the solenoids were supplied with heated and pressurized automatic ...

The circle and the solenoid

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems, 2006
In the paper, we discuss two questions about degree $d$ smooth expanding circle maps, with $d \ge 2$. (i) We characterize the sequences of asymptotic length ratios which occur for systems with Holder continuous derivative. The sequence of asymptotic length ratios are precisely those given by a positive Holder continuous function $s$ (solenoid ...

First Operation Results of a Methanol Demonstration Plant With Real Steel Mill Gases

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
A demonstration plant with industrial setup regarding length, diameter, boiling water cooling system and gas recycle was initially operated with cleaned blast furnace gas and compared with earlier experiments with bottle gases. Dynamic disturbances from the steel mill and gas cleaning unit were noticed and could be compensated by the control system ...

Molten‐Salt‐Mediated Chemical Looping Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Ethane with In‐Situ Carbon Capture and Utilization

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
A sustainable alternative to steam cracking, the molten‐salt‐mediated oxidative dehydrogenation (MM‐ODH) of ethane (C2H6) in Li2CO3‐Na2CO3‐K2CO3 (LNK) couples thermal cracking with melt‐mediated CO2 capture to realize commercially competitive C2H4 and CO yields. LNK composition strongly influences MM‐ODH process outcomes.

Functions of proteins with alpha-solenoids. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Each protein is displayed with its PDB ID and the type of interaction its repeats are involved in. Though most of structures dock to proteins, we here point out the involvement of alpha-solenoids in protein-protein (P/P), protein-lipid (P/L) and protein ...

Spectral triples for noncommutative solenoids and a Wiener's lemma [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we construct odd finitely summable spectral triples based on length functions of bounded doubling on noncommutative solenoids. Our spectral triples induce a Leibniz Lip-norm on the state spaces of the noncommutative solenoids, giving them ...

Design of high homogeneity inside-notch-corrected superconducting solenoids [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
A graphical technique is described which facilitates the design of high homogeneity solenoids corrected to sixth order by a notch on the inner surface of the coil.

Recent advances in multifunctional soft robots: A materials–structures–systems co‐design perspective for synergistic integration

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Abstract Soft robots, engineered from highly compliant materials, offer superior adaptability and safety in unstructured environments compared to their rigid counterparts. Recent advancements, fueled by bio‐inspiration and material programmability, have led to the rapid co‐evolution of their core modules: actuation, sensing, protection, energy, and ...
