Design of electromagnetic sensor for metal wear particle detection in oil

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Wear is one of the common faults in the mechanical transmission system. Detection of wear particles in lubricating oil can detect and evaluate the wear degree of mechanical equipment.

Recent advances in magnetic targeting based on high magnetic field and magnetic particles

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2017
In the past few decades, the multifunctional magnetic drug carrier based on the magnetic nanoparticles and high magnetic field has been intensively researched. The magnetic drug carrier can be targeted to the tumour area not only by the chemical protocol

Development of Radiation-Tolerant HTS Magnet for Muon Production Solenoid

open access: yesInstruments, 2020
Superconducting magnets are widely used in accelerator science applications. Muon production solenoids are applications that have recently attracted considerable public attention, after the approval of muon-related physics projects such as coherent muon ...

Coupling sections, emittance growth, and drift compensation in the use of bent solenoids as beam transport elements

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 1999
Bent solenoids can transmit charged particle beams while providing momentum dispersion. While less familiar than quadrupole and dipole systems, bent solenoids can produce superficially simple transport lines and large acceptance spectrometers for use at ...

Transmission characteristics of magnetic resonance coupling-based multi-load wireless power transmission system

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2018
If the magnetic resonance coupling-based wireless power transmission system has multiple receivers, cross-coupling will occur between the transmitter and the receiver, resulting in the variation of transmission characteristics when compared with the case

Conjugacy of Dynamical Systems on Self-Similar Groups

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We show that the limits for dynamical systems of self-similar groups are eventually conjugate if, and only if, there is an isomorphism between their Deaconu groupoid preserving cocycles.

Inverse semigroups associated with one-dimensional generalized solenoids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, we study inverse semigroups defined on the Bratteli–Vershik systems and SFT covers of 1-solenoids. We show that groupoids of germs of these inverse semigroups are equivalent to the unstable equivalence groupoids of 1-solenoids.

On tame embeddings of solenoids into 3-space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Solenoids are ``inverse limits\u27\u27 of the circle, and the classical knot theory is the theory of tame embeddings of the circle into the 3-space. We give some general study, including certain classification results, of tame embeddings of solenoids ...

Noncommutative Solenoids and the Gromov-Hausdorff Propinquity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We prove that noncommutative solenoids are limits, in the sense of the Gromov-Hausdorff propinquity, of quantum tori. From this observation, we prove that noncommutative solenoids can be approximated by finite dimensional quantum compact metric spaces ...
