Noncommutative Solenoids

open access: yes, 2011
A noncommutative solenoid is the C*-algebra $C^\ast(\Q_N^2,σ)$ where $\Q_N$ is the group of the $N$-adic rationals twisted and $σ$ is a multiplier of $\Q_N^2$. In this paper, we use techniques from noncommutative topology to classify these C*-algebras up to *-isomorphism in terms of the multipliers of $\Q_N^2$.

Noncommutative solenoids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A noncommutative solenoid is a twisted group C*-algebra C*(Z[1/N]2,σ) where Z[1/N] is the group of the N-adic rationals and σ is a multiplier of Z[1/N]2.

Solenoid Engine

open access: yesInternational Journal of Innovative Research in Physics, 2023
Given the impact on the environment as well as financial considerations like the gradually rising cost of liquid fossil fuels, maintenance, and other costs, electric vehicles are becoming a more and more appealing option to vehicles with combustion engines. Due to the fact that these cars are well renowned for having zero emissions and being fueled by

Simulation and optimisation design of the solenoid valve

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This study first analyses the problems that the solenoid valve generates during operation. Then the electromagnetic valve was modelled and ANSYS finite element analysis simulation software was used to simulate the electromagnetic field and transient ...

A New Method for Maintaining Constant Dither Amplitude in Low Frequency PWM

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2017
Various controls for fluid flow and pressure are now required in related industries, and the pulse width modulation (PWM) and dithering techniques have become essential for the proportional control of solenoids.

Solenoidal automorphisms with specifications

open access: yesMonatshefte fr Mathematik, 1982
The specification property for solenoidal automorphisms is discussed; a solenoidal automorphism σ satisfies specification iff σ is expansive, and σ satisfies weak specification but not specification iff σ is ergodic and central spin. These are problems set up byK. Sigmund for homeomorphisms with specification.

Hodge Theory for Riemannian Solenoids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A measured solenoid is a compact laminated space endowed with a transversal measure. The De Rham $L^2$-cohomology of the solenoid is defined by using differential forms which are smooth in the leafwise directions and $L^2$ in the transversal direction.

SUPERCONDUCTING SOLENOIDS FOR THE MICE CHANNEL* [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This report describes the channel of superconducting solenoids for the proposed international Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment (MICE). MICE consists of two cells of a SFOFO cooling channel that is similar to that studied in the level 2 study of a ...
