Delays in Protection Devices and Their Effects on Selectivity: The Reaction Time Gap
This Paper investigates how the internal delays of circuit breakers until the limitation of the fault current affect the selectivity of a low-voltage direct current (LVDC)-grid under short-circuit conditions.

Solid state circuit breaker. Technological spinoff report [PDF]
A solid state circuit breaker was designed using the SCEPTRE circuit analysis program. The experimental circuit assembled worked satlsfactorily for overloads up to 200 percent. This device would be useful in some special applications where fast operation in the microsecond range would be an advantage. (auth)

A fully transparent, all‐metal‐oxide neuromorphic transistor using a sodium‐embedded alumina (SEA) electrolyte is demonstrated. By precisely tuning the thermal annealing process, the chemical composition of the SEA layer is controlled, allowing for the deterministic realization of both short‐term and long‐term synaptic plasticity within the same device
