DNA Nanoarray for Multiplexed RNA Detection With Single‐Molecule Readout

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A carrier‐based DNA nanoarray integrates programmable nucleic acid hybridization with solid‐state nanopore readout for direct RNA detection at single‐molecule resolution. A ternary encoding system enables 27 carriers with 81 addressable sensing sites, allowing the simultaneous identification of targets spanning a wide size range, from short microRNAs ...

N‐Doping Activated Presodiation Enhances Sodium‐Ion Provision in Hard Carbon Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Introducing pyrrolic‐N sites enables efficient presodiation and stronger PF6− capture, thus pre ‐ forming a robust inorganic‐rich SEI layer in hard carbon anodes. ABSTRACT Hard carbon (HC) is considered the most promising anode material for commercial sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs), yet it still faces critical challenges such as low initial Coulombic ...

Single-Molecule Bonds Characterized by Solid-State Nanopore Force Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Weak molecular interactions drive processes at the core of living systems, such as enzyme−substrate interactions, receptor−ligand binding, and nucleic acid replication. Single-molecule force spectroscopy is a remarkable tool for revealing molecular scale

Eco‐Geography Reverses Dominant AMR Reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae: Integron‐Rich Mobilomes and Cross‐Niche Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dominant antimicrobial resistance reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae vary across eco‐geographic settings rather than following a universal pattern. Integrated One Health and global genomic analyses show that lineage structure, integron load, and cross‐niche connectivity shape whether AMR burden accumulates primarily in human or nonhuman compartments ...

Solid-State Nanopore for Detecting Individual Biopolymers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Solid-state nanopores have been fabricated and used to characterize single DNA and protein molecules. Here we describe the details on how these nanopores were fabricated and characterized, the nanopore sensing system setup, and protocols of using these nanopores to characterize DNA and protein molecules.

Low-cost solid state nanopore biosensing technology towards early disease detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Solid-state nanopore based biosensors are cost effective, high-throughput engines for single molecule detection of biomolecules, which is useful for detecting epigenetic modifications on DNA; one of these being the potentially cancerous hypo, or ...

Slowing Down DNA Translocation Through Solid-State Nanopores by Pressure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The effect of applied pressure on event duration distributions in 3 kb dsDNA translocation is systematically investigated. The effects of pressure magnitude and nanopore size on the length discrimination between 615 bp and 1.14 kbp dsDNA is studied.

Impedance of Nonelectroneutral Solid Electrolyte Interphases With Nanopores: A Theoretical Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Physical modeling reveals that often‐neglected non‐electroneutrality and nanopores in the solid‐electrolyte interphase (SEI) govern the impedance behavior. Under nonreactive conditions, the low‐frequency constant‐phase element (CPE) phenomenon can be attributed to the nonelectroneutral local conditions in the SEI.
