The MAS NMR study of solid solutions based on the YAG crystal

open access: yesNukleonika, 2015
An 27Al magic angle spinning (MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) study of nominally pure and Cr-doped yttrium-aluminum garnet (Y3Al5O12 and Y3Al5O12:Cr) crystals is reported.

Well-posedness and stationary solutions

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper we prove existence and uniqueness of variational inequality solutions for a bistable quasilinear parabolic equation arising in the theory of solid-solid phase transitions and discuss its stationary solutions, which can be ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

PHASE STRUCTURE OF Fe-Co-Ni NANOSYSTEMS: TEMPERATURE EFFECT

open access: yesВестник Кемеровского государственного университета, 2014
The processes occurring in biphase powders of Fe – Co – Ni at heating in vacuum are studied in the paper. Samples are synthesized by hydrazinehydrate reduction of metal salts in aqua solutions at highly alkaline medium. When drawing phase diagrams of the

Preparation of NiO-LiFeO2 solid solutions: role of mechanical and thermal treatments

open access: yes, 2005
The role of mechanical activation in the solid state synthesis of NiO-LiFeO2 solid solutions with different stoichiometries is discussed started from the comparison with the behaviour of physical mixtures with the same ...

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Coupled Gel Coprecipitation and Hydrothermal Processing to Synthesise Cubic Structured Compounds in the SrTiO3–SrZrO3 System

open access: yesGels
The sol–gel coprecipitation method is highly efficient for synthesising a wide range of binary perovskite solid solutions (SSs), which have been under exhaustive study due to their semiconductor and catalytic properties.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Perovskite solid solutions La0.75Bi0.25Fe1−xCrxO3: Preparation, structural, and magnetic properties

open access: yes, 2017
Solid solutions of La0.75Bi0.25Fe1−xCrxO3 (x = 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, and 0.75) prepared by conventional solid state reaction have been studied by means of X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), neutron powder diffraction (NPD) and magnetic measurements.
