Highly Durable and Uniform Structural Coloration via Spray‐Coated Organic Mie Resonators Randomly Distributed in Three Dimensions

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates uniform, durable non‐iridescent structural coloration using polystyrene nanoparticles randomly embedded in a thick sodium silicate with absorptive additives. By suppressing the effects of the structure factor and multiple scattering, this approach achieves uniform coloration from the backscattering.

Impact of Organic and Inorganic Fillers on the Performance of Ternary Biodegradable Poly(Butylene Succinate‐Co‐Butylene Adipate), Poly(Butylene Adipate‐Co‐Terephthalate), and Poly(3‐Hydroxybutyrate‐Co‐3‐Hydroxyvalerate) Blends

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Development of a ternary blend composite based on PBAT/PBSA/PHVB with improved mechanical properties. ABSTRACT This study explores a ternary biodegradable blend of bio‐based poly(butylene succinate‐co‐adipate) (bio‐PBSA), poly(butylene adipate terephthalate) (PBAT), and poly(3‐hydroxybutyrate‐co‐3‐hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV).

Electrospun Nanofibres for Load‐Bearing Composite Materials—A Review of Techniques, Mechanical Properties and Durability

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Electrospun nanofibre for load‐bearing composite materials. ABSTRACT Electrospun nanofibres are emerging nanomaterials prized for their scalability, high surface area to volume ratio and yield. Their effectiveness in improving the mechanical properties of fiber reinforced composites is widely reported. Nanofibres could activate multiscale toughness and

Sodium solubility in silicate melts

open access: yes, 2009

Mineralogical sinks for biogenic elements on Mars [PDF]

open access: yes
The efficacy of biochemical reactions on Mars should depend not only on concentrations of the biogenic elements H, C, N, O, and S but also on the forms (compounds and water-souble ions) that are available to those elements.

The nakhlite meteorites provide evidence for mineralization of martian CO2 by carbonation of silicates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Evidence from the Lafayette meteorite shows that carbon dioxide could have been sequestered very effectively from the martian atmosphere by mineral ...

Agroforestry and enhanced rock weathering: A dual strategy for sustainable cacao

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Cacao production is both economically vital and environmentally intensive, presenting a major sustainability challenge as a crop largely cultivated by smallholder farmers in climate‐vulnerable regions. This review synthesises evidence that integrating agroforestry with enhanced rock weathering (EW) may significantly reduce emissions from cacao ...
