Hydrothermal Growth of Quartz Crystals in KCl Solution
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1981It has been shown that quartz crystals can be grown in NaCl solution by the hydrothermal temperature gradient method, and it was possible to produce large crystals after a few months. The effect of the various experimental conditions on the growth rates was investigated and observations of morphology and infrared absorption spectra were made.

Solution growth of RbAg4I5 crystals
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1979Abstract RbAg 4 I 5 crystals were grown under supersaturation by means of a temperature difference growth technique. A procedure of finding the growth conditions of the incongruently soluble substance is described.

Effects of Solution Flow on the Growth of Colloidal Crystals
Langmuir, 2020For the versatile potential applications of colloidal crystals, precisely controlling their growth is required to achieve properties such as high crystallinity and large-area crystals. Because colloidal crystallization is a self-assembly process of dispersed particles in a solution, solution flow directly and markedly changes the behavior of particles.

On the solution growth of single crystals of solid solutions
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1986Abstract Homogeneous solid solution crystals are needed for studying the behaviour of systems with a glass state or incommensurate phases. A simple solution growth procedure is described. It is based on a temperature difference growth method with thermally enforced convection and the use of equilibrated solid and liquid solutions.

A crystallizer for single crystal growth from solution
Crystal Research and Technology, 1982AbstractThe theoretical basis and the construction of the new type of the two‐vessel WALKER‐KOHMAN crystallizer adequate for the optical observations of single crystals growing from solution is described.

The growth of crystals in solution
Advances in Colloid and Interface Science, 1979Abstract The crystallization of sparingly soluble salts from their aqueous supersaturated solutions is discussed from the standpoint of two important applications; scale formation and biological mineralization. Theories of crystal growth are outlined and the importance of kinetic factors in determining the nature of the growing phases is discussed ...

Ice crystal growth in supercooled solution
International Journal of Refrigeration, 2002Study on the crystal growth of ice in water-ethyleneglycol solution was carried out, experimentally. The ice crystal, which was seeded on top of the capillary tube, propagated inside the tube slowly and began to grow freely at the tip of the tube in subcooled solution.

Growth of Nb3Sn crystals by top seeded solution growth
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1983Abstract Nb 3 Sn crystals were grown by top seeded solution growth using the oscillating temperature technique. The maximum size obtained on the seed (Nb wire) was about 0.5×0.3×1 mm 3 after a 6 day run. The surface microtopograph was examined using differential interference and/or phase-contrast microscopy.
