The growth of crystals from the boiling solution
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1972Abstract A novel technique is described in which crystals have been grown from solutions at their boiling point. The technique permits accurate control of solvent loss, permits seeding, and avoids undesirable nucleation at the liquid-gas interface. Various iodates have been grown from boiling water and from boiling concentrated nitric acid.

Solution growth of vanillin single crystals
Materials Letters, 1991Single crystals of vanillin were grown by the solution growth method. Vanillin was observed to be very anisotropic, and crystal morphology was strongly dependent on solvent. Crystals grew in needle morphology in pure methanol and ethanol, and in plate morphology in pure chloroform. A mixture of methanol and chloroform was found to be a suitable solvent

Solution growth CdGeP2 crystals and layers
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1980Abstract CdGeP 2 crystals and layers have been grown from molten bismuth. Crystals with the size of 12 × 4 × 3 mm 3 were produced. Preliminary attempts have been made to obtain CdGeP 2 layers on germanium substrates. It was found that deposition of CdGeP 2 layers is possible, but without epitaxial growth.
