Concomitant Metal Organic Frameworks of Cobalt(II) and 3-(4-Pyridyl)benzoate: Optimized Synthetic Conditions of Solvatochromic and Thermochromic Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Two coordination networks, {[Co-(34pba)(2)]center dot DMF}(n) (1 and 2), where 34pba is 3-(4-pyridy1)benzoate, were prepared by solvothermal methods. 1 is a three-dimensional metal organic framework formed by linking [Co-2(34pba)(8)] clusters in a bcu ...

Unveiling the Photophysical Properties of Indole‐Containing Boron Complexes: Exploring Intramolecular Charge Transfer Character, Tunable Emission, and Large Stokes Shifts

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Indolyl‐imine–based NN complexes were synthesized and investigated to clarify how structural modification tunes intramolecular charge transfer (ICT), resulting in large Stokes shifts and tunable emission properties. Steady‐state and ultrafast spectroscopy, supported by density‐functional theory (DFT), showed that altering peripheral phenyl groups ...

Preferential Solvation of a Dipolar Solute in Mixed Binary Solvent. A Study by UV-Visible Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Solvation characteristics of p-nitroaniline have been studied in completely miscible binary solvent mixtures, namely, ethanol + dichloromethane (I), ethanol + hexane (II) and butanol + dioxane (III), by monitoring the solvatochromic absorption band.

Monitoring protein interactions and dynamics with solvatochromic fluorophores [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Solvatochromic fluorophores possess emission properties that are sensitive to the nature of the local microenvironment. These dyes have been exploited in applications ranging from the study of protein structural dynamics to the detection of protein ...

Emissive Liquid Crystalline Boron C,N‐Chelates: Synthesis, Self‐assembly, and Photophysical Properties

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 15, 22 April 2026.
Novel emissive liquid crystalline boron C,N‐chelates were prepared by integrating mesogenic units into the boron C,N‐core. Depending on the substituent at the boron, stable SmA or N mesophases were achieved while maintaining intense blue emission with excellent quantum yields (61%–100%).

Characterization of Dimethylsulfoxide / Glycerol Mixtures: A Binary Solvent System for the Study of "Friction-Dependent" Chemical Reactivity

open access: yes, 2016
The properties of binary mixtures of dimethylsulfoxide and glycerol, measured by several techniques, are reported. Special attention is given to those properties contributing or affecting chemical reactions.

\u3a0\u2011Stacking Signature in NMR Solution Spectra of Thiophene-Based Conjugated Polymers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Studies on conjugated polymers seldom report on their NMR characterization in solution. This paper shows how NMR experiments, both 1H NMR and routine 2D NMR spectra, can help in gaining a further insight into the aggregation behavior of conjugated ...

Molybdenum complexes bearing thiophenic or- arylthiophenic groups : synthesis, electrochemical, spectroscopic and nonlinear optical properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A series of complexes trans-[FMo(N=NCHL)(dppe)2][BF4] (L = (bi)thienyl or arylthienyl), were synthesized and fully characterized by 1H, 13C, 31P NMR, IR and UV–Vis spectroscopies.

Exciton‐Polaritons in Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks: A Platform for the Reversible Modulation of Strong Light‐Matter Coupling via the Chemical Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 34, 27 April 2026.
Strong exciton‐photon coupling is achieved by integrating porphyrin ligand‐based MOF nanoparticles in optical cavities, as evidenced by pronounced polariton branch anticrossing. The porous nature of the resonator enables precise, reversible tuning via vapor pressure, unlocking unprecedented chemical‐environment controlled dynamic polaritonic platforms ...
