Transition-Metal and Solvent-Free Oxidative C-H Fluoroalkoxylation of Quinoxalinones with Fluoroalkyl Alcohols.

Organic Letters, 2019
The first example of oxidative C-H fluoroalkoxylation of quinoxalinones with fluoroalkyl alcohols under transition-metal and solvent-free conditions is described. This approach provides the synthesis of fluoroalkoxylated quinoxaline derivatives with good

Facile Solvent-Free Synthesis of Thin Iron Porphyrin COFs on Carbon Cloth Electrodes for CO2 Reduction

Chemistry of Materials, 2019
We demonstrate the solvent-free synthesis of a covalent organic framework (COF) containing 5,10,15,20-tetra-(4-aminophenyl)porphyrin Fe(III) chloride (FeTAPPCl) and 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalaldehyde ...

Solvent-Free Photoreduction of CO2 to CO Catalyzed by Fe-MOFs with Superior Selectivity.

Inorganic Chemistry, 2019
It is deemed as a desired approach to utilize solar energy for the conversion of CO2 into valuable products, and the majority of the MOFs-based photocatalytic reductions of CO2 have focused on formic acid (HCOOH) production with an organic solvent as the

Solvent-Free Organic Syntheses

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 1998
Ecological points of view must nowadays be taken into consideration in the development of new syntheses and apportioned due importance in assessing the viability of a new synthesis. A crucial factor here is the need to restrict the use of ecologically harmful organic solvents.

Solvent-free synthesis of metal complexes

Chemical Society Reviews, 2007
Avoiding the use of solvents in synthesis can reduce environmental contamination and even be more convenient than using solvent-based synthesis. In this tutorial review we focus on recent research into the use of mechanochemistry (grinding) to synthesise metal complexes in the absence of solvent.

Solvent-Free Process to Esterify Polysaccharides

Biomacromolecules, 2005
A novel process for the preparation of acetates of polysaccharides is described herein. The process involves the acetylation of polysaccharides with acetic anhydride in the presence of iodine as a catalyst. No solvent is required to bring about the acetylation. The method is simple, rapid, and characterized by a high conversion ratio.

Overcoming binder limitations of sheet-type solid-state cathodes using a solvent-free dry-film approach

Energy Storage Materials, 2019
All-solid-state lithium-ion batteries are promising candidates to overcome safety and energy limitations of common lithium-ion batteries. Although excellent results have been reported for sulfide based electrolytes on a small scale, classical slurry ...

Solvent effect in a “solvent free” reaction

CrystEngComm, 2007
Vapour digestion of a mixture of solid [Fe(η5-C5H4–C5H4N)2] and solid pimelic acid HOOC(CH2)5COOH in the presence of solvent vapours generates co-crystals of different stoichiometry depending on the protic or aprotic nature of the solvent. The nature of the products has been ascertained by a combined use of SSNMR and X-ray diffraction.
