Carbon Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastics: From Materials to Manufacturing and Applications
A contemporary and critical review on carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastics. The common thermoplastic and carbon fiber applied in the manufacture of carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastics are summarized, and the processing and postprocessing methods are reviewed, with emphasis on state‐of‐the‐art welding techniques.

Implantable devices rely on batteries that demand surgical replacement, posing risks, and financial burdens. Ultrasound energy transfer (US‐ET) offers a revolutionary wireless alternative but struggles with efficiency. The presented dielectric‐ferroelectric‐boosted US‐TENG (US‐TENGDF‐B) is thin, flexible, and biocompatible that provides high‐efficiency

Ultrafast Superradiant Scintillation from Isolated Weakly Confined Perovskite Nanocrystals
Efficiency and scintillation velocity are critical for high‐energy and medical physics. These parameters, typically conflicting in conventional scintillators, are simultaneously optimized by exploiting the giant oscillator strength of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals, leading to radiatively accelerated (multi)excitonic emission with unity efficiency without ...

Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer in Pigs
2023Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) has been successfully applied to clone animals of several species. Pigs are one of the main livestock species for food production and are also important for biomedical research due to their physiopathological similarities with humans.

Cloning by somatic cell nuclear transfer
BioEssays, 1998The birth of the first cloned mammals, produced by the introduction of somatic cell nuclei into enucleated oocytes, was an impressive and surprising development. Although the ethical debate has been intense, the important scientific questions raised by this work have been inadequately discussed and are still unresolved.

Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer in Rabbits
2023Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) is a technology that enables differentiated somatic cells to acquire a totipotent state, thus making it of great value in developmental biology, biomedical research, and agricultural applications. Rabbit cloning associated with transgenesis has the potential to improve the applicability of this species for disease ...

Somatic cell nuclear transfer in zebrafish
Nature Methods, 2009We developed a method for somatic cell nuclear transfer in zebrafish using laser-ablated metaphase II eggs as recipients, the micropyle for transfer of the nucleus and an egg activation protocol after nuclear reconstruction. We produced clones from cells of both embryonic and adult origins, although the latter did not give rise to live adult clones.
