A high‐speed, multi‐color light‐sheet microscope, named quad‐SPIM, enables rapid three dimensional (3D) imaging of large cleared human brain samples with simultaneous four‐channel acquisition. This custom‐built system achieves subcellular resolution across centimeter‐scale volumes, maintaining high image quality.

Cholecystokinin and Somatostatin Negatively Affect Growth of the Somatostatin-RIN-14B Cells
With the exclusive presence of the pancreatic CCK-2 receptors on the pancreatic delta cells of six different species, this study was undertaken to determine the role of cholecystokinin and gastrin on growth of these somatostatin (SS) cells.

Functional expression of the polymeric immunoglobulin receptor from cloned cDNA in fibroblasts. [PDF]
The polymeric immunoglobulin receptor, a transmembrane protein, is made by a variety of polarized epithelial cells. After synthesis, the receptor is sent to the basolateral surface where it binds polymeric IgA and IgM.

Characterization of Cytokine Treatment on Human Pancreatic Islets by Top‐Down Proteomics
ABSTRACT Type 1 diabetes (T1D) results from autoimmune‐mediated destruction of insulin‐producing β cells in the pancreatic islet. This process is modulated by pro‐inflammatory cytokine signaling, which has been previously shown to alter protein expression in ex vivo islets.
