Pancreatic Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm With Invasive Carcinoma Concomitant With Ampullary Neuroendocrine Tumor: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT This case reports a rare co‐occurrence of pancreatic intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm with invasive carcinoma and ampullary neuroendocrine tumor. Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy was done. No recurrence/metastasis in 12‐month follow‐up, though both tumors had lymph node metastasis, warranting attention to timely biopsy.

Challenges in Diagnosis and Management of Ovarian Neuroendocrine Carcinoma: A Case of Aggressive Disease With Multimodal Treatment Approach

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) of the ovary are extremely rare, accounting for only 1%–2% of malignant ovarian tumors, with high‐grade subtypes demonstrating particularly aggressive behavior. We describe a 47‐year‐old woman who presented with abdominal swelling, irregular bleeding, and pain, and was diagnosed with high‐grade ovarian ...

Pathological Complete Response in a Rare Case of Rectal Small Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma Following Neoadjuvant Radiochemotherapy: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms are rare, aggressive tumors comprising a small fraction of rectal malignancies but with increasing incidence due to improved endoscopic detection. Small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma, a high‐grade variant, poses significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to its rapid progression and poor prognosis. We

Sex‐Specific Effects of Experience With Pups on Perineuronal Net Expression in the Biparental California Mouse (Peromyscus californicus)

open access: yesJournal of Comparative Neurology, Volume 533, Issue 11, November 2025.
The neural mechanisms underlying behavioral sensitization to pups in adult virgin California mice are poorly understood. Here, we show that pup exposure alters perineuronal net (PNN) expression in the infralimbic medial prefrontal cortex of virgin male, but not female, California mice.

Sojae Semen Praeparatum Fermented by Rhizopus chinensis and Bacillus sp. DU‐106 Alleviates Loperamide‐Induced Constipation in Rats via Regulating Calcium Signaling Pathways and the Gut Microbiota

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 6, Issue 6, Page 3076-3089, November 2025.
To investigate the effects of different processing methods of Sojae Semen Praeparartum (SSP) on constipation, we prepared SSP through fermentation using Rhizopus chinensis and Bacillus sp. DU‐106 as starter cultures, and examined its laxative effects and mechanisms in loperamide‐induced constipated Sprague‐Dawley (SD) rats.
