Life in a post‐eelgrass world: Temporal compression of a spatial refuge from predation

Abstract Spatial refugia offered by structurally complex habitats mitigate high rates of predation for many aquatic and terrestrial prey species. These refuges are particularly important for small juvenile marine invertebrates, for which predation often represents the greatest cause of mortality.

Phytochemical Traits and Biological Activity of Satureja hortensis and Satureja macrantha as Culinary Spices Using GC–MS/MS and LC–MS/MS Techniques

Antidiabetic, anti‐Alzheimer, antimicrobial, and antioxidant activities of Satureja macrantha and Satureja hortensis extracts and oils. p‐Cymene and thymol were the major components found in S. macrantha and S. hortensis, respectively. S. hortensis essential oil showed notable α‐glucosidase inhibition (41.33%) and anticholinesterase activity.
