Study of the physical-chemical and sorption properties of SnO2 prepared by mechanochemical and microwave routes

open access: yesХімія, фізика та технологія поверхні, 2018
There are many methods for synthesis of tin dioxide SnO2, namely sol-gel, precipitation. However, these methods do not allow to regulate the physical-chemical properties in wide limits in the synthesis stage.

Catalytic Production of Levulinic and Formic Acids from Fructose over Superacid ZrO2–SiO2–SnO2 Catalyst

open access: yesColloids and Interfaces, 2022
Catalytic conversion of fructose to levulinic and formic acids over tin-containing superacid (H0 = −14.52) mixed oxide was studied. Mesoporous ZrO2–SiO2–SnO2 (Zr:Si:Sn = 1:2:0.4) was synthesized by the sol–gel method.

Spatial moment analysis of transport of nonlinearly absorbing pesticides using analytical approximations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Analytical approximations were derived for solute transport of pesticides subject to Freundlich sorption, and first-order degradation restricted to the liquid phase.

One-pot synthesis of ?-valerolactone from tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol and ?-valerolactone amidation over Сu/ZnO-Al2O3 catalyst

open access: yesХімія, фізика та технологія поверхні, 2016
It has been found that tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol transforms into ?-valerolactone over Сu/ZnO-Al2O3 catalyst at 270–280°С. ?-Valerolactone can be used for obtaining biodegradable polyesters and copolymers.

On the Kinetic Mechanisms of the Reduction and Oxidation Reactions of Iron Oxide/Iron Pellets for a Hydrogen Storage Process

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
This work aims at investigating the kinetic mechanisms of the reduction/oxidation (redox) reactions of iron oxide/iron pellets under different operating conditions. The reaction principle is the basis of a thermochemical hydrogen storage system.

A Gel Probe Equilibrium Sampler for Measuring Arsenic Porewater Profiles and Sorption Gradients in Sediments: I. Laboratory Development [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A gel probe equilibrium sampler has been developed to study arsenic (As) geochemistry and sorption behavior in sediment porewater. The gels consist of a hydrated polyacrylamide polymer, which has a 92% water content.
