Description of sorption data with isotherm equations

open access: yesGeoderma, 2001
Analysis of sorption data is important for characterizing retention of chemicals by soil. In this paper I review the most common isotherm equations used in soil science. The mathematical descriptions of these equations are classified into rational, power,

Sorption isotherms and heat of sorption of pineapple

Journal of Food Engineering, 2001
Sorption isotherms of pineapple were determined at 20°C, 30°C, 40°C and 50°C temperatures by using dynamic method. Six two-parameter and one three-parameter isotherm models were selected to fit the observed data, and the modified BET model was found to be the best-fitted model for pineapple.

Sorption Isotherm Measurements by NMR

Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, 2002
An experimental setup is described for the automated recording of sorption isotherms by NMR experiments at precisely defined levels of relative humidity (RH). Implementation is demonstrated for a cotton fabric; Bloch decays. T1 and T2* relaxation times were measured at predefined steps of increasing and decreasing relative humidities (RHs) so that a ...

Isohalic sorption isotherms.

International Journal of Food Science and Technology, 1982
Abstract Isohalic sorption isotherms of cod (Gadus morrhua) are used, in conjunction with growth data for dun mould (Wallemia sebi), to predict the shelf life of dried salted fish in tropical climates. Measured shelf-lives of several fish species processed and stored by traditional methods are in agreement with the predictions.
