Sound Field Reproduction Using Planar and Linear Arrays of Loudspeakers
IEEE Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing, 2010In this paper, we consider physical reproduction of sound fields via planar and linear distributions of secondary sources (i.e., loudspeakers). The presented approach employs a formulation of the reproduction equation in spatial frequency domain which is explicitly solved for the secondary source driving signals.

3D sound field reproduction using diverse loudspeaker patterns
2013 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo Workshops (ICMEW), 2013Sound field reproduction (SFR) in a cubic region is addressed using a finite planar array of loudspeakers with diverse radiation patterns. An acoustic transfer function (ATF) matrix that best approximates the desired field under a power constraint is found from singular value decomposition (SVD).

Sound field reproduction system with active reverberation
Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2016Sound field reproduction system can be categorized roughly into two types. The first is physically assured system which reproduce the wavefront or another physical parameters by engineering means. Typical examples are the boundary surface control system, the wave field synthesis, the ambisonics, and so on. The second type is a psychological system that

3D Sound Reproduction by Wave Field Synthesis
2014In this chapter, we focus on the spatial audio technique implemented for 3D multimedia content including spatial audio and video. The spatial audio rendering method based on wave field synthesis is particularly useful for applications where multiple listeners experience a true spatial soundscape while being free to move around without losing spatial ...
