Cloning and Analysis of the Expansin Gene BdEXP1 from Migration Plant parasitic Nematode (Bursaphelenchus doui)

open access: yesGuangdong nongye kexue
【Objective】An expansin gene BdEXP1 was cloned from Bursaphelenchus doui, and its expression characteristics were investigated in order to provide reference for the in-depth study of the function of BdEXP1 gene in the interactions between B.

Disease resistance of transgenic rice by overexpressing OsiWRKY gene

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2005
To derermine its bioiogical function, we transformed OsiWRKY gene into rice. Southern blot and Northern blot analyses showed that the OsiWRKY gene had been integrated into rice genome and overexpressed in rice.

Genetic diversity of Xanthomonas species pathogenic to citrus based on avr and leucine rich protein genes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The genus Xanthomonas includes a group of phytopathogenic bacteria that have great economic importance around the world. Citrus canker, caused by Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri, is one of the main threats to citrus crops worldwide.

Autosomal Recessive Spastic Ataxia of Charlevoix‐Saguenay in Two Half‐Siblings

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autosomal recessive spastic ataxia of Charlevoix‐Saguenay (ARSACS) is caused by biallelic pathogenic variants in the SACS gene. We report the clinical, radiologic and neurophysiologic features of a pair of half‐siblings who presented with progressive cerebellar ataxia, peripheral neuropathy and upper motor neuron signs.

Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation and stable transgene expression in Muscat Ottonel grape (Vitis vinifera) [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
Grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) is an economically significant fruit crop, but its genetic improvement through conventional breeding is limited due to high heterozygosity and long generation periods.

The recombinant protein rSP03B is a valid antigen for screening dog exposure to Phlebotomus perniciosus across foci of canine leishmaniasis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The frequency of sandfly-host contacts can be measured by host antibody levels against sandfly salivary proteins. Recombinant salivary proteins are suggested to represent a valid replacement for salivary gland homogenate (SGH); however, it is necessary ...

Real‐World Performance of CSF Kappa Free Light Chains in the 2024 McDonald Criteria

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Kappa free light chains (KFLCs) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) have a similar performance to CSF‐restricted oligoclonal bands (OCB) for multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. To help with implementation, we set out to resolve several remaining uncertainties: (1) performance in a real‐world cohort and the 2024 McDonald criteria; (2 ...

Southern-by-Sequencing: A Robust Screening Approach for Molecular Characterization of Genetically Modified Crops

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, 2015
Molecular characterization of events is an integral part of the advancement process during genetically modified (GM) crop product development. Assessment of these events is traditionally accomplished by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and Southern blot ...

FeDSNP‐Pa Nanoassemblies: A Triple‐Action Therapeutic Strategy Targeting Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, and Pyroptosis for Retinal Ganglion Cell Protection in Glaucoma

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
FeDSNP‐Pa, a metallized nanoparticle loaded with sodium pyruvate (Pa), exerts triple therapeutic effects by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS), suppressing inflammatory responses, and inhibiting pyroptosis signaling pathways. This multifunctional neuroprotective strategy protecting retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) from elevated intraocular pressure ...

Efficient selection and evaluation of transgenic lines of Crambe abyssinica

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2013
Crambe abyssinica is a dedicated oilseed crop suitable for production of industrial feedstocks. Genetic modification of crambe has progressed substantially in the last few years, but the transformation efficiency needs to be further improved.
