Conversion Efficiencies of Heteronuclear Feshbach Molecules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We study the conversion efficiency of heteronuclear Feshbach molecules in population imbalanced atomic gases formed by ramping the magnetic field adiabatically. We extend the recent work [J. E. Williams et al., New J.

Space Efficiency of Transit-Oriented Station Areas: A Case Study from a Complex Adaptive System Perspective

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information
Transit-oriented development (TOD) has been widely adopted in urban planning to alleviate traffic congestion, urban sprawl, and other problems. The TOD metro station area, as a dynamic and open spatial system, presents typical complex features.

Space efficiency and throughput performance in AVS/RS under variant lane depths

open access: yesThe International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology
An automated vehicle storage and retrieval system (AVS/RS) is a widespread automated warehouse solution that hosts hundreds of stock-keeping units (SKU) and counts thousands of incoming and outgoing unit loads corresponding to a sequence of time ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Source Distributions of Cosmic Shear Surveys in Efficiency Space

open access: yesThe Open Journal of Astrophysics, 2020
We show that the lensing efficiency of cosmic shear generically has a simple shape, even in the case of a tomographic survey with badly behaved photometric redshifts.

Efficiency fluctuations and noise induced refrigerator-to-heater transition in information engines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Understanding noisy information engines is a fundamental problem of non-equilibrium physics, particularly in biomolecular systems agitated by thermal and active fluctuations in the cell.
