Designing For Vertical Needs: Creating A Ladder Chair For Ergonomic And Space-Saving Solutions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Arts Architecture & Design
As creative and academic studio spaces grow increasingly constrained, the demand for multi-functional furniture solutions becomes more critical. This study focused on the design, fabrication, and evaluation of a multifunctional ladder chair that ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Correcting a Space-Efficient Simulation Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Although there are many efficient algorithms for calculating the simulation preorder on finite Kripke structures, only two have been proposed of which the space complexity is of the same order as the size of the output of the algorithm. Of these, the one with the best time complexity exploits the representation of the simulation problem as a ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Space-Efficient Construction of LZ-Index [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A compressed full-text self-index is a data structure that replaces a text and in addition gives indexed access to it, while taking space proportional to the compressed text size. The LZ-index, in particular, requires 4uHk(1+o(1)) bits of space, where u is the text length in characters and Hk is its k-th order empirical entropy.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Efficient Space Exploration through Laziness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Autonomous behavior and onboard decision making is the backbone of robotic space exploration. The enormous distance and communication latency make such missions hardly controllable from Earth and external decision making may overlap and often contradict with the onboard decision making.
