Exploring the space of adversarial images [PDF]
Adversarial examples have raised questions regarding the robustness and security of deep neural networks. In this work we formalize the problem of adversarial images given a pretrained classifier, showing that even in the linear case the resulting optimization problem is nonconvex.

Exploring the Intermembrane Space [PDF]
Despite the importance that many components of the intermembrane space (IMS) of mitochondria play in cellular function, the targeting sequences that are responsible for transporting proteins to this subcellular compartment are not fully understood.

Imaging in Space Exploration [PDF]
I remember the amazement I felt when man walked on the moon. Today, I feel that monies spent on space exploration would be better used in green energy and ocean preservation programs. We already live on earth, the most perfect spaceship of all: Why go beyond it?
