Effect of Al3+ substitution on structural, morphological, magnetic, optical, and functional study of ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles

open access: yesAIP Advances
ZnFe1−xAlxO4 (x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5) samples were synthesized by the combustion method. The x-ray diffraction pattern confirms that the ferrite samples have a cubic inverse spinel structure, and Rietveld refinement adds more weight to this ...

Anomalous Nernst Effect in Dirac Semimetal Cd3As2

open access: yes, 2017
Dirac and Weyl semimetals display a host of novel properties. In Cd$_3$As$_2$, the Dirac nodes lead to a protection mechanism that strongly suppresses backscattering in zero magnetic field, resulting in ultrahigh mobility ($\sim$ 10$^7$ cm$^2$ V$^{-1}$ s$

Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.

Chiral, Heterometallic Lanthanide–Transition Metal Complexes by Design

open access: yesInorganics, 2018
Achieving control over coordination geometries in lanthanide complexes remains a challenge to the coordination chemist. This is particularly the case in the field of molecule-based magnetism, where barriers for magnetic relaxation processes as well as ...

Multi-dimensional Precision Livestock Farming: a potential toolbox for sustainable rangeland management [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2018
Background Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) is a promising approach to minimize the conflicts between socio-economic activities and landscape conservation. However, its application on extensive systems of livestock production can be challenging.

Ferromagnetic exchange, spin-orbit coupling and spiral magnetism at the LaAlO_3/SrTiO_3 interface

open access: yes, 2013
The electronic properties of the polar interface between insulating oxides is a subject of great current interest. An exciting new development is the observation of robust magnetism at the interface of two non-magnetic materials LaAlO_3 (LAO) and SrTiO_3

High‐Performance X‐Band Electromagnetic Interference Shielding in Flexible Barium Hexaferrite/Cobalt‐Based Microwires/Silicone Rubber Ternary Composites via Magnetic–Conductive Synergy

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A flexible ternary composite combining barium hexaferrite (BHF), Co–Microwires, and silicone rubber exploits magnetic–conductive synergy to deliver tunable X‐band EMI shielding, reaching a 16.9 dB at 9.8 GHz (surpassing the 10 dB industrial benchmark). Shielding behavior shifts between reflection and absorption with BHF loading and Co–Microwires counts

Swarm optimization for adaptive phase measurements with low visibility

open access: yes, 2013
Adaptive feedback normally provides the greatest accuracy for optical phase measurements. New advances in nitrogen vacancy centre technology have enabled magnetometry via individual spin measurements, which are similar to optical phase measurements but ...

“Hidden” Landscape of Prehistoric Burial Monuments: The Use of Remote Sensing in the Detection of Neolithic Long Barrows in Bohemia (Czech Republic)

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neolithic long barrows are among the earliest monumental structures in Europe, yet in many parts of Central Europe their surface expression has been largely erased by long‐term agricultural activity. This study evaluates the potential of integrated remote sensing approaches for identifying and contextualizing long barrows and associated ...

The Layout and Size of an Early Pre‐Pottery Neolithic B Small Settlement Revealed by Geophysical Prospection at Harbetsuvan Tepesi in Southeastern Anatolia

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In Upper Mesopotamia, the transition from the Pre‐Pottery Neolithic A (PPNA) to Pre‐Pottery Neolithic B (PPNB) period, ca. 10 800–10 600 cal. BP, is marked by a series of changes in chipped stone industries, architectural forms, symbolic objects, regional distribution of settlements and long‐distance exchange networks among others.
