The evolution of resource partitioning in a multidimensional resource space

Theoretical Population Biology, 1982
Abstract The evolution of resource partitioning in a multidimensional resource space is studied for two and three competing species. Optimal patterns of resource partitioning are determined by simultaneously maximizing the fitness of each species with respect to its own niche position, conditional on the positions of all other species.

Extended resource space model

Future Generation Computer Systems, 2005
The resource space model (RSM) is a semantic data model based on orthogonal classification semantics for efficiently managing various resources in the future interconnection environment. This paper extends the RSM in theory by formalizing the resource space, investigating its characteristics from the perspective of set theory, defining the resource ...

Resource Space Extension Model

2016 12th International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge and Grids (SKG), 2016
Resource Space Model (RSM) is a semantic data model for specifying, storing, managing, and locating versatile resources based on multi-dimensional categorization. However, the structure of the model needs to be extended for managing and searching contents. This paper proposes an extensive model of RSM to solve the problem by building a new layer of RSM

A Resource Space Model for Dataspace

2010 Sixth International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge and Grids, 2010
Data space is a semi-structural data model for the management of large-scale heterogeneous data objects. In a data space, each data object consists of a set of attribute-value pairs to describe the internal properties of the object and their relationships to other objects.

Space as a Resource

2010
In this assay, we aim at defending the hypothesis that physically spoken sheer “empty” space in itself without any other commodities has the function of resource for plant life. Definitions of space, niche, and resource are examined. We consider competition for resources and space occupation and exploitation above ground, where light is often a ...

Space as a resource

Building and Environment, 1991
Abstract At the micro level of a shelter programme, space is the most important commodity, which needs to be optimally used not only for upgrading the immediate and overall environment but also for reasons of the economics, finance, life style, tradition and culture of the people who are expected to live there.

Extended Resource Using Mechanism for Resource Space Model

Third International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge and Grid (SKG 2007), 2007
This paper extends resource using mechanism (RUM) for the resource space model (RSM) based application. Resource operation and query language has been implemented in Dunhuang culture application. Besides, operation analyst, resources auto-classifier, and RSM linker are designed and implemented.

A Survey on the Resource Space Model

2011 Seventh International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge and Grids, 2011
This paper surveys research on the Resource Space Model RSM. RSM is a classification-based, multi-dimensional and content-based space model for efficiently and effectively managing various resources. As a non-relational data model, it has a rather complete theoretical basis and has significant applications in faceted search and the future cyber ...

Space for Resources

2009
On 7 December 2007, the “Lisbon Declaration on ‘GMES and Africa’” adopted under the Portuguese Presidency of the European Union marked a new step in Europe’s implementation of the ‘space for resources’ concept. The aim of the Declaration was to improve the partnership between Europe and Africa in the context of the Millennium Development Goals and to ...

Space Resource Utilization

2021
Abstract Throughout human history, resources have been the driving force behind the exploration and settling of our planet and also the means to do so. Similarly, resources beyond Earth will make space the next destination in the quest for further exploration and economic expansion of our species.
