Resource Space Model: A Survey
2018 14th International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge and Grids (SKG), 2018This paper surveys research on the Resource Space Model (RSM). RSM is a multi-dimensional, classification-based, content-based and high-level semantic space model for organizing and managing various resources through multi-dimensional abstraction and specialization.

The greater than 109 km3 volume of the deep-sea water column and greater than 300 × 106 km2 area of the deep-sea floor represent a major natural capital asset. Global society has been utilising space in the deep ocean as a reservoir for solid, liquid, and hazardous waste produced by terrestrial-based societies, as a buffer that absorbs nonsolid ...

Consumers and resources in space
2022AbstractCompetition always has some spatial component, and this chapter explores the main effects that spatial subdivision has on competitive interactions. After a brief general description of various ways in which spatial issues can be modelled, the chapter explores a metacommunity approach, in which interactions occur within discrete patches, and ...

Resource Searching Mechanism in Distributed Resource Space Model
2009 Fifth International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge and Grid, 2009Distributed Resource Space Model(DRSM) is the application of Resource Space Model(RSM) on the Internet. According to the characteristics of DRSM, the paper proposes the Searching Mechanism of DRSM based on hybrid network structure. It uses the improved Chord algorithm and Tell-flooding algorithm to search informations.

Most species of aphids, at all stages of development, move about over the surface of their host plants and even between adjacent plants. These local movements result in slow diffusive dispersal. In contrast, aphids also show persistent ‘straightened out’ movements, during which their vegetative responses are depressed, which are a means of transport ...
