Relationship between two‐level space‐vector pulse‐width modulation and carrier‐based pulse‐width modulation in the over‐modulation region

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2014
For low voltage motor drive applications, in order to enhance the utilisation rate of dc bus voltage and extend the operating boundary of induction motors, the modulation index is often extended from the linear modulation region to the over‐modulation region.

From Mechanics to Electronics: Influence of ALD Interlayers on the Multiaxial Electro‐Mechanical Behavior of Metal–Oxide Bilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin AlOxHy interlayers between aluminum films and polymer substrates significantly improve electro‐mechanical properties of flexible thin film systems. By precisely controlling interlayer thickness using atomic layer deposition, this study identifies an optimal interlayer thickness of 5–10 nm that enhances ductility and delays cracking.

Three‐level saddle space vector pulse width modulation strategy based on two‐level space vector pulse width modulation for neutral‐point‐clamped three‐level inverters

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2016
This study proposes a three‐level saddle space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) strategy based on two‐level SVPWM (TBT_SAPWM) for neutral‐point‐clamped (NPC) three‐level inverters. According to the analysis of the conventional three‐level SVPWM strategy based on two‐level SVPWM (CTBT_SVPWM) and the proposed TBT_SAPWM strategy, the modulation wave ...

Selective Noise Suppression in Random SVPWM to Shape the Voltage and Current Spectrum

open access: yes, 2023
The conventional space vector pulse width modulation (CSVPWM) is widely used in AC motor powered by two-level three-phase inverter, resulting in sideband noise near the switching frequency and its integer multiples in the motor.

Hybrid Modulation for Modular Voltage Source Inverters with Coupled Reactors

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
This paper proposes and discusses a concept of a hybrid modulation for the control of modular voltage source inverters with coupled reactors. The use of coupled reactors as the integrating elements leads to significant reduction in the size and weight of

Space vector PWM technique for a three-level six-phase drive [PDF]

open access: yes
A space vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM) strategy for a three-level six-phase drive based on vector space decomposition (VSD) approach is presented for the first time in this paper.

High signal-to-noise ratio observations and the ultimate limits of precision pulsar timing

open access: yes, 2011
We demonstrate that the sensitivity of high-precision pulsar timing experiments will be ultimately limited by the broadband intensity modulation that is intrinsic to the pulsar's stochastic radio signal. That is, as the peak flux of the pulsar approaches
