Sustainability Performance and Its Impact on Financial Distress Risk—Evidence From STOXX Europe 600

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability performance (SP) has emerged as a central topic on both corporate and political agendas worldwide. This study investigated the relationship between SP and financial distress risk (FDR) among European listed firms, addressing the growing importance of SP in financial decision‐making.

Influence of Overdischarge Depth on the Aging and Thermal Safety of LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2/Graphite Cells

open access: yesBattery Energy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Overdischarge is one of the potential factors that affect the performance and safety of lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) during application. In this study, the aging behavior and thermal safety of LIBs at different overdischarge cut‐off voltages are investigated.

The hidden emotions of therapists: An autoethnographic exploration of working with clients who self‐injure

open access: yesCounselling and Psychotherapy Research, Volume 25, Issue 2, June 2025.
Abstract Introduction This paper explores how working with clients who self‐injure generates significant emotional reactions in therapists, often difficult to manage. Drawing on my clinical experience as a researcher and counsellor, I provide an evocative autoethnographic account, highlighting hidden, forbidden or taboo feelings.

Fast Co‐Catalyzed Semihydrogenation of Alkynes with Controlled E/Z‐Selectivity Using Same Catalyst

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 17, Issue 8, April 15, 2025.
E/Z selectivity control in internal alkyne hydrogenation can be achieved using the same pincer cobalt catalyst that allows obtaining either E or Z‐semi hydrogenation product with good to excellent selectivity and conversion controlled by reaction conditions.

Rhodium‐Catalyzed Oxidative Alkenylation of Naphthalene: Factors That Influence Reaction at the β‐ versus α‐Position

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
This study reports the direct oxidative alkenylation of naphthalene with olefins (ethylene and propylene) in the presence of a Rh(I) catalyst precursor and Cu(OPiv)2 as an oxidant. The regioselectivity of alkenylation (i.e., β‐ versus α‐functionalization) is highly variable based on reaction conditions.

CO Generation from CO2 Using an Atmospheric Microwave Plasma Process

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 97, Issue 5, Page 479-486, May 2025.
Due to the increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere and the resulting man‐made climate change, alternatives to fossil fuels must be found. The chemical industry is looking for alternative processes. One promising possibility is atmospheric pressure microwave plasma, which converts CO2 into CO using electrical energy.

Modified Oxymethylene Ethers Based on Technical Alcohol Mixtures and their Fuel Properties

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 97, Issue 5, Page 495-507, May 2025.
A modified oxymethylene ether (OME) synthesis based on C5 and C9 technical alcohol mixtures was developed. The produced compounds can be employed as neat fuel or as blending component for fossil or paraffinic diesel fuels. The modification of OME offers the possibility to adjust desired properties, enabling the evaluation of new application fields ...
